AUTUMN 2017 PROGRAMME IS HERE!
If you’ve always wondered if there’s a writer in you, or if you’re a developing poet, novelist, short fiction writer, script writer, life writer or journalist who relishes the opportunity to work with superb tutors, enrol for our writing courses, weekday mornings at Chocolate Factory 3, N22, with life writing and short fiction expert Giovanna Iozzi, novel writing tutors Sara Langham and Sonia Lambert, and poets Jehane Markham and Paul Lyalls.
“The course was fantastic; the structure and content were stimulating and challenging. We were all incredibly productive.” Alison, workshop student
Our workshop courses are six weeks in duration and comprise one 2.5 hour session each week for the six weeks. They are held at our HQ, The Writing Room in Chocolate Factory 3, our very own ‘home from home for local writers’, where we have a large work table, whiteboard, sofa area, books and magazines, free wi-fi, free device charging, tea, coffee and biscuits! What more could any writer need (apart from inspiration! But we find that comes from the groups and the exercises!) We have a max of 12 students per course to make sure every student gets proper attention. Spaces are therefore at a premium – so don’t delay!
To sign up, email Progamme Co-ordinator Kate Pemberton, and she will reserve your place and let you know how to make a payment. firstname.lastname@example.org
Courses cost £95 in advance for a six-session course. Sessions are weekly, on various weekdays, from 10.30am to 1pm.
As an added bonus, twice a year we have a party at The Green Rooms to celebrate our students’ writing, where people get the chance to read their work to a friendly audience of course members, tutors, friend and family. This is optional, but students have said it adds a wonderful opportunity for them to share their work and experience a live reading.
